Materials Return

Good Morning and Happy Sunday Cabrillo Families,
Final Day of School - Wednesday, June 9
Our plans for the last day of school are taking shape. We are collecting materials provided to the Cabrillo community during this year of distance learning. Your Cabrillo teachers will be on campus in their classrooms ready to receive your technology supplies, library books, and PE supplies. A great photo opportunity! They will also distribute purchased yearbooks to students in their classroom. Teachers will take attendance from 8:30 to 8:45 via their Zoom or Meet link. The teacher will close the link as we transition to collection. In order to do this in an organized manner, we are collecting materials by student last name. For example, from 9:00 - 10:00 we are collecting from families with students whose last name begins with A - F (Abenojar - Freitas). I have linked a school map. If driving, please park your car in one of the parking lots other than the horseshoe then proceed to your student’s classroom. Below is the schedule:

8:30 - 8:45 Attendance taken on Zoom or Meet @home
9:00 - 10:00 A - F     Return to Student Classroom
10:00 - 11:00 G - L     Return to Student Classroom
11:00 - 12:00 M - P    Return to Student Classroom
12:00 - 1:00 Q - Z     Return to Student Classroom
1:00 - 2:00 Teacher Luncheon - No Collections
2:00 - 5:00 Return items to Cabrillo Cove

Students participating in the Summer Math Academy will need to keep their chrome books and hot spots. Plans for collecting those materials will come from the Summer Math Academy principal. We can do this!

School Site Council (SSC)
I am looking for parents interested in sitting on the Cabrillo School Site Council (SSC) for the 2021-2022 school year. The school site council meets seven (7) times a year and is responsible for reviewing school goals and approving changes to LCAP budget expenditures. For example, this year our SSC voted on a number of issues relating to actions supporting our School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) including the reallocation of unspent dollars to purchase new chromebooks which have served our students throughout the pandemic. If you are interested, please complete the linked form SSC Interest Survey

Ordering Yearbooks
The yearbooks have arrived and look fantastic! We will continue collecting payment using the Cabrillo website or the following link Ordering a Yearbook. If you would like to purchase a yearbook using cash or check, you can now come to the Cabrillo Office where we will collect the money and provide a receipt.  The yearbooks will be distributed on Wednesday, June 9 when you return your student’s materials to Cabrillo.

iReady Parent Night
On Monday, May 24, 6:30-7:30, i-Ready will be hosting a parent information night via Zoom. Please see the flyers in English, Spanish, and Chinese for the Zoom link information. Translations will be available in each language.
