Purchase a 2019-2020 Yearbook

Upload Your Photos for the 2020-2021 Yearbook

Good Morning and Happy Sunday Cabrillo Families,

After a month of distance learning, it feels like we are beginning to hit our stride. Your students were previously accustomed to a schedule based on bells ringing indicating the beginning and ending of periods. Now they must rely on their memories, cell phone alarms and posted schedules to make sure they are in class on time. Thank you for supporting your student as they transfer to a more demanding type of schedule.

Cabrillo’s computer specialist Mrs. Diaz-Ceneteno produced a yearbook for the 2019-2020 school year that included a section on the pandemic. Some of our families purchased the yearbook but were unable to pick them up at the end of the year. Mrs. Keith will be in contact with you to let you know how we will be distributing the purchased yearbooks. If you are interested in purchasing a copy, we have some remaining copies of the yearbook available which we are selling for $20. Please complete the linked form to indicate your interest in purchasing a yearbook. Our tremendous office staff will be in contact with you to find a time for you to come to the school and pick up this memory from last year.

Purchase a 2019-2020 Yearbook

We are planning to produce a yearbook for the 2020-2021 school year but have not yet signed any contracts. The production of a yearbook requires much time and effort but most importantly, it requires photographs. I have added a button on the Cabrillo homepage and will add a link to the form to each of my weekly Sunday chats. We need to collect photos of our students working from home. Please upload pictures of students creating projects, writing in workbooks, writing narratives, creating artwork, attending virtual field trips, practicing their PE activities, and so much more. These pictures will become the bulk of our Cabrillo yearbook images. Start by going to the Cabrillo website. Click the Upload Yearbook Photos found under my weekly video. You will need to use your student’s Google account for verification. Click the Add File uploader then select the images from your phone. Enter your student’s first and last name, select their grade level, then choose their teacher from the drop down list. Add a quick statement on what the student is doing to help us as we create the yearbook. Finally select the date so we know when the event occurred. Press submit and now you have added images we will be able to use in our 2020-2021 yearbook.

Cabrillo’s Resource Specialist

Last week we met Mrs. Schrank, our school nurse. This week I am featuring our Cabrillo Resource Specialist Mrs. Sara Rode. Mrs Rode can be found in many classrooms supporting students on her caseload. In her video, Mrs. Rode references Google Read and Write extension and Mathway. Please enjoy her video.

Materials Distribution This Week

Contactless delivery continues this week with Grade 1 on Monday and TK on Tuesday. The cafeteria doors are open from 6:00 am - 6:00 pm. Please make sure to take the materials from your student’s basket.

Stay Safe,
